Final goodbye

I messed up and put this post in my photo blog :( so changing it to come on my regular blog.

ok ok ... i know its pathetic but i am trying my hand at poetry or with this attempt just rhyming words :| but bear with me people... as I plan to persevere

Today is the final goodbye
We won't have a second chance to say bye bye
I expected sadness I expected melancholy
I never expected it to be just another day
I expected a hug I expected a kiss
I never expected to not hear even a bye
I know the moment will never come again
I know the unsaid words will echo in the silence
They will repeat in the if only space
I know that the unmade gestures will play in the still recesses
They will repeat in the what if terrain
I know I would have returned if he would have but said the word
But he is busy in his world where I am naught but a pain
I don't rate a farewell nor a kiss goodbye
But he is my life and this will make me cry
I won't let the tears show smile instead and give a jaunty ciao
And when it rains I will cry
So he never knows that I know he was never mine to expect a goodbye

30 Things to do before turning 30

Someone very close to me is turning 30 in a few months, and was regretting not making a list of 30 things to do before turning 30. So i thought I will learn from this and make my list while I still have some years to do them. On an offside, I love making lists, so the blog is going to have a lot of lists. :)

Filmfare Awards 2010

Disclaimer : These are my personal choices!!!

Best Film : 3 Idiots

Simply because it touched my heart. Yes the end was melodramatic, it was too preachy, but it still got the message across.

Best Director : Ayan Mukerji (Wake up Sid)

A simple story told beautifully, without any drama/k-serial type of rona-dhona.

Best Actor in a leading role (male) : Aamir Khan (3 Idiots )

There was no other competition!!! he made me forget he is 40 year old playing a 19-20 year old college grad :)

Best Actor in a leading role (female) : NO ONE!!!
Did not like anyone from the nominations... they were all just candy floss in their respective movies... where have Madhuri Dixit like leading ladies gone? who made us forget the leading man and stole every scene with their beauty and talent?

Best Actor in a supporting role (male) : Amole Gupte (Kaminey )

I don't think i need to give a reason for this choice :)

Best Actor in a supporting role (female) : Supriya Pathak (Wake Up Sid )

Honestly i just chose her at the least of all evils. Felt she was better in Delhi 6.

Best music : AR Rahman (Delhi-6 )

Rehne tu still plays in a loop on my iPod, there was no other contender even close by.

Best lyrics : Prasoon Joshi :Rehna tu- Delhi 6

Sam as above... especially love the lines...
"Haath tham chalna ho... to dono ke daye haath sang kaise? ek daya hoga, ek baya hoga"

Best playback singer (male) : Rahat Fateh Ali Khan : Aaj din chadya -Love Aaj Kal

Out of the nominations, this was the one i liked the best. ITS A PERSONAL CHOICE, CANT EXPLAIN IN WORDS

Best playback singer (female) : Kavita Seth : Iktara-Wake Up Sid

Again a personal favorite can not explain it.

Guys as you must have already read... greatbong is running a contest for his book release. below are the rules:

The rules.

1. On your blog, provide a link to this page. (http://greatbong.net/book). Embedding the above picture in your blog would be nice but not needed.

2. Then write down your top 10 Hindi movie lines or top 10 English movie lines (You can do both if you want. Only one set is required for the contest). If you cannot think of top 10, make it top 5. Cannot think of even 5? Make it top 3. No problem. Only restriction: no two lines from same movie. This done to make it fair for other movies so that they dont get swamped by Gunda or Loha or Sholay.

3. Tag five friends to do the same.

4. Come over to the comment-space of this post and post your blog’s link so I can go and read it.
